Such contractor being chosen under criteria that included all relevant H&S legislation, HERS Registration, competence with the IEE Wiring Requirements (BS7671 2008: Amendment 1), knowledge of and compliance with the street lighting Code of Practice (BS5489-1:2003) and Performance (BS EN 13201-2:2003) and compliance with Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2007).
Management and monitoring of any sub-contractor is by means of regular weekly reviews with the AWTG project manager and formal monthly project meetings between AWTG and the sub-contractor management teams as agreed at the start of the project, together with escalation procedures identifying named contacts to address any exceptional issues arising.
