    • Capability to plan and monitor work and maintenance schedules to ensure agreed service levels are achieved
    • Plan, design, coordinate and manage AWTG’s networking requirements

    • Good experience on Microsoft services design and troubleshooting Solid experience on IP mobile Network monitoring and troubleshooting
    • Expert on IP traffic engineering and QoS design and troubleshooting Expert on network routing protocols and features (OSPF,ISIS,BGP,MPLS)
    • Familiar with IP/TR related 3G KPIs and reports.

    Key accountabilities:
    • Bachelor’s Degree (preferably in finance, economics or mathematical based) analytical and logical problem solving, plus strong numerical skills are essential
    • Basic Theoretical understanding of IT systems and networks and/or telecommunications systems would be a plus.

    About the role:

    We are a comprehensive technical services provider within the Wireless Telecommunications industry.
    We currently require an Experienced Senior Network Engineer to join our IT team in London to develop and maintain functional and secure networks.

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Participate in the architecture, design, and development of services and tools to enable an SDN solution development and delivery for clients. Identify, propose, architect and test (proof-of-concept or prototype) scalable and flexible solutions to support the migration, transformation, and/or development of applications in the SDN platform. Perform highly complex analysis, design, development, tests, and debugs of Software Defined Networking (SDN) and Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) solutions for clients.
    • Develop advanced networking architectures and designs using the latest Open Source and vendor technologies to solve client problems.
    • Test vendor and Open Source SDN and NFV products.
    • Plan and conduct major technical phases of significant projects by coordinating the efforts of technical support staff and the performance of assigned projects.
    • Review completion and implementation of technical products, evaluate vendors' capabilities, work with typically little supervision, and assist with training staff and clients.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • 5+ years of experience in related field (i.e., Telecommunications, network engineering fields)
    • 5+ years of experience with networking technologies - knowledge and subject matter expertise in IP networking technologies: Layer 2-4 protocols, IP network architecture, application traffic flows, cloud security architecture, and security best practice
    • 1+ years of experience with REST APIs and SDN technologies. Strong Cloud and Network Architectural experience in areas of applications, virtualization, network and security with Software Defined Network(SDN)/Network Function Virtualization(NFV) working experience; preferably a blend of data networking, cloud virtualization, and data security technologies. i.e. Strong background in cloud computing, virtualization, SDN Orchestration, network and security service automation
    • Hands on knowledge and subject matter expertise in IP networking technologies: Layer 2-4 protocols, IP network architecture, application traffic flows, cloud security architecture, and security best practice.
    • Proficient with Linux environments (Ubuntu, RedHat/CentOS, etc). Experience in Linux administration is a plus
    • Solid scripting development skills in Shell, Python, JavaScript, or Perl
    • Bachelor’s degree
    • Self-starter and leader, who is self-driven, accountable and is open to new ideas
    • Ability to clearly communicate to executives, auditors, end users, and engineers, using appropriate language, examples, and tone
    • Ability to work in a dynamic and complex environment, requiring creativity and flexibility

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • MS or PhD in Computer Science in related field
