BBC Coverage of the Scottish Esports League

AWTG is thrilled about its participation in the recent success of the Scottish Esports League. Recently, BBC News report released news and video of the event where it features the event’s success and its impact on the hundreds of event participants and attendees.

The success of the event is also made possible through the help of AWTG’s engineering team who delivered the 5G private network and enterprise Wi-Fi 6 connectivity throughout the event; additionally, the event guide mobile app. Apart from that, AWTG was also part of the recent launch of Dundee Public Wi-Fi. And with the announcement of the future state-of-the-art Esports arena in Dundee during the Scottish Esports League, AWTG is looking forward to extending its expertise and helping build advanced innovation in the community.

David Oliver, AWTG’s Business Development Director for the Public Sector, who attended the said event shares:

“The public, private and academic sectors are united in their vision for establishing Dundee as the e-Sports and e-Gaming capital of the UK – if not Europe. It was a pleasure to attend the finals of the Scottish eSports League last month, and to see for myself how AWTG’s 5G and Wi-Fi Networks are helping the city to achieve its vision. AWTG is playing a key role in helping Scotland to implement a wide range of 5G use cases across many sectors, but e-Sports and e-Gaming is certainly one of the most exciting!”
