AWTG presents at Digital Festival Hounslow about High street recovery

AWTG were very pleased to deliver two presentations at this year’s ‘Digital Festival Hounslow’.

David Oliver described how technology is being used by local authorities to support high street recovery and identified 5 common themes. As you might expect from the Council of the year, Hounslow is addressing high street recovery head on.

David has recorded a short presentation on this subject which can be viewed here:

David Oliver, Business Development Director for Public Sector shares:

“Hounslow Council’s Digital Festival is a brilliant example of how a local authority can raise awareness amongst its connected residents and businesses of the opportunities presented by technology. Hounslow assembled a fantastic mix of speakers for this years’ month long event, and there has been something for everyone to learn from and enjoy. Hounslow created the festival last year during the height of the pandemic, to help keep its community connected, especially during lockdown. This year has been about supporting the Digital Strategy and Recovery Plan and has included sessions about preparing for job interviews and making your CV stand-out. Hounslow recognises that it has some of the highest rates of digital exclusion in the country, and is on a mission to change this. We look forward to seeing the progress that Hounslow will undoubtedly make, and as a local West London business, we hope to help play a part in that journey.”
