AWTG to attend Digital Scotland 2021 at Edinburgh

November 25, 2021. AWTG is delighted to be attending the Digital Scotland 2021  at Edinburgh International Conference Centre (EICC) where the next generation of government digital services are being showcased, many of which are based on innovative and emerging technologies.

AWTG is proud to be helping Scotland to build on its strong digital foundations and to secure a technology-led economic recovery.

Our 5G engineering, technology and software services are playing a major role in Scotland and we are proud to work in partnership with the Scottish Government, the Scotland 5G Centre, Scottish Futures Trust, Dundee City Council, University of Glasgow, University of Abertay, and Strathclyde University.

Today we can celebrate our stand alone 5G networks launched this year, and look forward to next year when these enabling technologies will start to be used to drive further innovation and economic recovery:

  • University of Glasgow – for virtual reality, augmented reality, holography, 5G internet of things and robotics;
  • Scotland 5G Connect Dumfries Hub – for agriculture, farming and remote health care; and,
  • Dundee City Council – for gaming, interactive entertainment, and the co-development of solutions for healthcare, manufacturing and cyber-crime.

David Oliver, AWTG’s Business Development Director for the Public Sector said:

“This year’s Digital Scotland conference promises to be an inspiring occasion. I’m looking forward to hearing how public sector leaders are using technology to transform public services, drive economic recovery, support local communities and improve peoples’ lives. There are some very exciting speakers and panel discussions ahead!”
