Zain KSA and AWTG sign agreement to develop innovative B2B applications via 5G

AWTG Ltd. announced that it has signed an agreement with Zain KSA to develop multiple innovative B2B applications enabled by its pioneering 5G network, intended to serve Zain KSA’s business customers from the private sector. The agreement covers the development and integration of B2B applications for various 5G use cases.

 

The agreement between Zain and AWTG enables Zain KSA to monetise and explore possibilities of its 5G network with applications for immersive technologies, proximity-based services and AI-powered applications. These technologies enable services such as: smart shopping, smart tourism, smart education, smart retail, hololive, IoT, asset tracking, navigation and gamification. The collaboration combines the innovations from AWTG’s talented teams and Zain KSA’s highly successful roll-out of 5G network and applications, where its ultra-fast 5G network is ranked as the fourth largest globally and largest in the Middle East, Europe, and Africa, as it currently covers 50 cities enabled by +4,700 towers.

 

Commenting on this new 5G milestone, Chief of Business and Wholesale Officer Eng. Saad A. Notably, Opensignal announced in a recent report that Zain KSA won all three awards of the Saudi Arabia 5G User Experience report on: “Best 5G Download Speed,” “Best 5G Availability,” and “Best Download Speed Experience – 5G Users.”

The company was also recognized by Ookla which granted Zain KSA through its globally acclaimed Speedtest award, the Kingdom’s “fastest fixed Network” award for the year 2020. The company’s 5G network was also granted Telecom Review’s awards for “Best 5G User Growth,” “Best Infrastructure/5G Deployment,” and “Best Cloud Provider.”
